Oh The Glamour

She's found herself among the stars But her hesitation’s turned to doubt Through that crowd surrounded round her I heard that hidden scream and shout For to blend into the herd with time to kill Would seem so pleasant to her now Oh on the other sides sunny hill In greener grass where time allows Well she said… One friend’s a seamstress Another one’s a cook They’re all doing alright on The other paths they took She could've made different choices She'd better change her sail Coz if this is sweet success Why’s she only feel she failed? In childhood dreams were spoon fed to her Now's come her time to act To please her parents not herself The disappointment's now a fact A little scared of standing on her own feet Ignoring pressure from her peers She'll know so much more about herself When the wind's dried those passing tears Now she dreams of wandering Off this beaten trail Far from airbrushed billboards Whose smiles have turned stale She could've made different choices She'd better change her sail Coz if this is sweet success She only feels she failed She craved attention wrapped around her Now seems her phone's been hacked Once dreamed a fairy-tale ending Now cannot leave with her face intact No amount of makeup can disguise it So much paranoia to conceal That glossy magazine and those who buy it It’s her dignity they steal She said… One friend was a seamstress Another one a cook They’re all doing alright on The other paths they took She could've made different choices She'd better change her sail Coz if this is sweet success She only feels she failed Now she dreams of wandering so far Off this beaten trail Far from airbrushed billboards Whose smiles have turned stale She could've made different choices She'd gonna change her sail Coz if this is sweet success She only feels she failed?

Hollowed Man 04:54
The old man's face turns cold & confused As the kids play with their ball by the door Those play fight screams turn cruel in his head With the fear of some settling score For countries and kings, will call them to fight For the glory and God on each side Aged 16 years and not a hint of hindsight To the call of duty he rides From wall to wall the sky's in a spin And the lives that he loves hang on a string But covering eyes & ears doesn't keep out the din Once you seen the human wrecking ball swing For countries and kings, will call them to fight For glory and God on each side Aged 16 years not a hint of hindsight To the call of duty he rides Bloodshot flickered eyes on a TV flickered screen See a litany of lies to the brim The steel wheel's turned by a momentous machine That rolls out a hollow man's kin For countries and kings, still call them to fight For glory and God on each side Aged 16 years not a hint of hindsight To the call of duty they ride
